THE CAPABILITIES / APPS & CUSTOM SOFTWARE

A bigger picture.
The useful details.

You need an iOS or Android app, a customer portal, a new digital product, or a smarter way for your team to work.

01CAPABILITY / APP DEVELOPMENT

App development

One team, both stores

iOS and Android apps for customers, members and teams in the field. We help shape the first release, design the key journeys, build the app and backend, then prepare beta testing and store submission. Cross-platform or platform-specific development is chosen around the product.

  • Discovery, UX and a clickable prototype
  • iOS, Android and backend development
  • Payments, booking, notifications and integrations as scoped
  • Beta testing and store submission support
  • Source handover and an ongoing release plan
Inside the approach

FROM IDEA TO RELEASE

01Start with the useful version

Map the core journeys and decide what earns a place in the first release. A prototype helps test the experience before investing in the full build.

02Design for the device

Consider small screens, one-handed use, camera and location access, notifications, poor connectivity and accessible interactions. These needs shape the scope rather than becoming late additions.

03Connect the whole product

An app needs more than screens. We scope authentication, backend services, data permissions, administration and the integrations that make it useful.

04Prepare for real users

Beta feedback, device testing, store assets and a release checklist help prepare the launch. Monitoring and a maintenance plan keep the product moving after version one.

02CAPABILITY / WEB APPS

Web apps

The thing your business runs on

Dashboards, portals, booking systems, marketplaces — software with real users, real permissions and real consequences when it breaks. Built to be handed over.

  • Auth, roles and audit trails from the start
  • Fortnightly builds on a real URL
  • Tests and runbooks written as we go
Inside the approach

FROM IDEA TO RELEASE

01The workflow comes first

Map the tasks, roles and edge cases before deciding which screens to build. Permissions and the administration experience matter as much as the customer-facing interface.

02Build a product your team can run

Agree hosting, backups, monitoring, documentation and support responsibilities. Operational work belongs in the scope from the start.

03CAPABILITY / APIS & INTEGRATIONS

APIs & integrations

Systems that hate each other, cooperating

The unglamorous work of making your CRM talk to your billing talk to your warehouse. Idempotent, retryable, and observable when a third party has an outage at 2am.

  • Retries, backoff and dead-letter handling
  • Contract tests against every integration
  • Alerting that names the failing system
Inside the approach

FROM IDEA TO RELEASE

01Follow the data

Document which system owns each record, how updates travel, and what happens when a connection fails. Retries, reconciliation and visibility need an explicit plan.

LET’S TALK ABOUT APIS & INTEGRATIONS
04CAPABILITY / INTERNAL TOOLS

Internal tools

The spreadsheet that became load-bearing

Every company has one: a workbook three people depend on and nobody dares touch. We turn it into something with permissions, history and a backup.

  • Migration without a big-bang cutover
  • Permissions and change history
  • Training for the team who inherits it
Inside the approach

FROM IDEA TO RELEASE

01Make the transition usable

Work with the people doing the job, plan the migration in stages and test against real workflows. Training and a rollback plan help the team move with confidence.

THE APPROACH / FROM IDEA TO REALITY

Visible progress.
Clear decisions.

  1. 01

    Define the first release

Map the core journeys, validate assumptions and agree the product boundaries. Explore mobile, web and shared-code options around the actual requirements.

  2. 02

    Design something you can try

Prototype the key screens, permissions and edge cases. Test the flow before committing to the full build.

  3. 03

    Build in visible stages

Connect the interface, backend and integrations. Review working builds at agreed milestones, with testing and documentation throughout.

  4. 04

    Release and keep learning

Prepare beta testing, store assets and submission support. Agree monitoring, support responsibilities and the priorities for what comes next.

THE HANDOVER / BUILT TO KEEP MOVING

In your hands.
Ready for what’s next.

  • 01

Product discovery and a prioritised release plan

  • 02

User journeys, interface design and a clickable prototype

  • 03

iOS and Android builds, or a web app where that fits better

  • 04

    Backend, permissions and third-party integrations

  • 05

Device testing, beta feedback and release preparation

  • 06

Store assets, submission support and ownership handover

  • 07

A plan for monitoring, maintenance and future releases

Deliverables, responsibilities, ownership and third-party costs are agreed in the proposal. The scope follows the project.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

The details.
Without the mystery.

01

Do we need a mobile app or a web app?

We start with what people need to do. Camera access, push notifications, offline use and repeat daily tasks can make mobile worthwhile. A web app may fit better when easy access from a link matters most. We help scope the tradeoffs before committing to a platform.

02

Can you build for both iPhone and Android?

Yes. We can use a shared codebase where it suits the product, with platform-specific work where the experience needs it. Device capabilities, performance and long-term maintenance guide that choice.

03

Can the app connect to our existing systems?

We can scope integrations with your CRM, payments, booking platform, stock system or other services. Discovery checks the available APIs, permissions and data flows so integration effort is visible in the proposal.

04

Do you help with the App Store and Google Play?

Release preparation can include beta distribution, store imagery, product descriptions and submission support. Store accounts stay in your business’s name. Review decisions and approval timing remain with the platforms.

05

What happens after the first release?

The first release is a starting point. We can agree monitoring, bug fixing, platform updates and a prioritised feature roadmap. Support scope and costs are written down rather than assumed.

06

Who owns the app?

Ownership, source access, store accounts and third-party licences are agreed in the contract. Our handover is designed so your business can operate the product and choose who develops it next.
