PRODUCT EXPERIENCE / TGF DIGITAL BUILD STUDY

Gaffer

From the office to the job. Keep the context.

An operations platform connecting customers, sites, jobs, quotes, invoices and field-service workflows.

01 / INSIDE THE BUILD

The experience challenge

Field-service work crosses office and site boundaries. Customers, locations, jobs, quotes and invoices need to stay connected as different people act on them. Gaffer brings those records into an operations platform.

02 / INSIDE THE BUILD

Follow the user’s work

The customer and site establish the context for a job. Quotes and invoices then connect the work to its commercial records. The design challenge is preserving that relationship while giving each user the information relevant to their task.

03 / INSIDE THE BUILD

Where design meets implementation

Mobile access and document capture introduce constraints beyond a desktop screen. Updates can collide and uploads can repeat. Clear feedback must reflect the underlying state, particularly when a save needs a retry or a record has changed.

What this build demonstrates

Gaffer is presented as work built, without implying that TGF owns the product. It demonstrates operational product design supported by API development and business rules. The linked engineering study explains concurrency and upload handling in more depth.

The engineering behind the experience.

Binary Beach is part of TGF Digital. This is a companion perspective on the same build, focused on product experience. The TGF study explains the specification, calculations, architecture and validation.
